Casual Open Play – Weekly Thursdays and Fridays
Beginners and Walk-ins Welcome! Come by to play fun chess and test out that new opening you’re learning. 5pm – 9pm Thursdays and Fridays at Garden Grove-Chess Palace. Only $10 to play (Free for Members).
Amateur Tournament – Nov. 9, Sunday
Rated and non-rated games are available. Time control is Game 30 minutes/delay 5 sec. Trophies & Raffle Prizes! Venue: SteelCraft Garden Grove. Round 1 starts at 12 noon. $32 (before Nov 9) & $45 (on-site).
Wednesday Knights (6 rounds!) – Nov. 5, 12, 19, Dec. 3, 10, 17
Wednesday Knights will be combined for November and December to have six rounds, starting Wednesday, November 5 and ending on December 17. Surprise Prizes and Raffles! The tournament will be at Cypress-Chess Palace.
Saturday Tournaments – Nov. 1, 8, 15, and 22
Looking for one-day tournaments with longer time controls? Join 3-rounds for the day (4-rounds for under 1000 rating) and will be at Cypress-Chess Palace. $30 entry fee ($40 for same day). Cash & Raffle Prizes!
