Spring is upon us! Get those chess sets ready to play indoors and outdoors.

Register for 4 rounds and get 1 additional game! This month’s Wednesday Knights will have five rated rounds: April 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30. Each round starts at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Register through the link above.
The GM lecture this month will be on the Sicilian opening. Grandmaster Batchuluun Tsegmed will present a one-hour overview of this opening on Saturday, April 26 at 9:30 am. Register at https://square.link/u/Qh25aeu9
Saturday tournament to follow starting at 11 am.
Saturday Open tournaments will be every week at 11 am on the following days.

- April 26
The Amateur Tournament will be on Sunday, April 13 at 12 pm – 4 pm for beginner players of all ages, this tournament will be at SteelCraft Garden Grove and will have a rated and non-rated group. Time control is game 30 min/5 sec delay. (Last month to play in rated section. May’s Amateur tournament will only be non-rated). Parking is free on site.
Want to play speed chess? The Blitz Tournament this month will be on Tuesday, April 22 at 7 pm. Rounds will be US Chess rated, and the time control is 5 min with no delay!

Casual Nights: Thursdays and Fridays – Open play on both of these day have free entry for chess club members/$10 for non-members. Play as many games as possible between the hours of 6:30 pm to 10 pm. Walk-ins welcome! or Click Here to Sign Up
Scholastic Tournament: Sunday, April 27 -The scholastic tournament is for chess players in Grades K – 12th. (US Chess Federation membership is required.) Round 1 starts at 10 am *Please note this tournament is offsite from the chess club and will be at SteelCraft Garden Grove*
