We are just a few weeks away from the 59th American Open on Thanksgiving week. It is open to adults and scholastic players. The main event has six sections and a $40,000 prize fund! There will also be side events including a chess camp for kids on Tuesday and Wednesday, Scholastic Tournament with Trophies and Medals, Blitz Tournament, and Action Tournament. Additionally, there will be a panel session on How to be a Tournament Director! Make sure to pencil in these exciting events into your calendar.

Wednesday Knights – Six rounds for the 2024 Wednesday Knights Championship! One round played each Wednesday night on: November 6, 13, 20, December 4, 11, AND 18– rounds starts at 7:00 pm
Amateur Tournament November 10 – Round-Robin style with starts at 12 pm. (US Chess membership is not required.) *Please note that this tournament is at SteelCraft Garden Grove*
Saturday Tournament – Register for any or all of these weekly tournament on Saturdays: November 2, 9, 16, and 23 to join other chess players for over-the-board RATED games. Registration at 9 – 9:30 AM. Round 1 at 10:00 AM
