Fall Scholastic (Kids Only) Tournament

Ready to plan out your children’s fall schedule? Join us for additional practice and tournament experience at these upcoming Scholastic tournament dates including the big one on Thanksgiving week at the American Open.

• Sunday, October 27, 2024 (October Scholastic at SteelCraft)
• Friday, November 29, 2024 (American Open – Novice Tournament)
• Saturday, November 30, 2024 (American Open – Junior Varsity K- 5th Tournament)
• Sunday, December 1, 2024 (American Open – Junior Varsity K- 12th Tournament)
• Saturday & Sunday, November 30- December 1, 2024 (American Open – Varsity Tournament)
• Sunday, December 15, 2024 (December Scholastic at Steelcraft)

Scholastic tournaments are for players in Kindergarten to 12th grade. An active US Chess Federation membership is required to play. (Applications/renewals for US Chess memberships can be made onsite.)

There will be three divisions to choose from:

	Novice K-12th grade	Junior Varsity K – 5th Grade	Junior Varsity K – 12th Grade	Varsity K – 12th Grade
Description	non-rated tournament for beginners	Rated tournament where players are grouped with consideration of their grade level and US Chess rating.	Rated tournament where players are grouped with consideration of their grade level and US Chess rating.	Two-day rated tournament for advance players. Time control is longer than JV.
