Monthly Scholastic Chess Tournaments

Looking for tournaments for your child? Our Scholastic Tournaments for the upcoming 4th Sundays of the month in 2025 are:

2. April 27
3. May 18 (Please note this is the 3rd Sunday of the month)
4. June 22
5. July 27
6. August 24
7. September 28
8. October 26
9. November 28-30 at the American Open
10. December TBD

• Venue: SteelCraft Garden Grove – 12900 S Euclid St, Garden Grove, CA 92840
• Schedule: Check-in between 9:30 am -9:45 AM and Round 1 starts at 10 AM with awards after all the games in the section are done. Estimated time is around 3/3:30 pm.
• Time control: Game 30 minutes, 5 seconds delay
• Awards: Trophies awarded to Top 5 finishers in each section
• Entry Fee: $40 ($50 onsite); Limited seats available, please sign up early.

1. K-12th grade Open section
2. K-8th grade Under 1100
3. K-6th grade rated Under 800
4. K-3rd grade Under 400
