For four rounds for the four Wednesdays in May: 5, 12, 19, and 26th, we will be playing chess over the board at the chess club. Rounds will start at 7 pm and an active US Chess Federation membership is required.
Here are the details:
One Open section (two sections, if there are enough players). USCF-rated event (submitted after the last Wednesday of the month).
Time control: 30moves/90minutes + sudden death 30minutes, 5-second delay
Entry fee per month: $30 Regular (Per round entry is allowed – $10, but are not eligible for prize and must call by 6 PM on day of to play.) Additional $5 one-time fee for first time chess club players.
Face masks are required to be worn inside the chess club and hand sanitizers will be made available.
