Master Class 3-Part Series

ChessPalace is proud to present a three-part master class with International Master Jack Peters. Each class will present a different angle on chess which can be utilized to improve your game. Participants can then stay after class for discussion and casual games.

Time: 1:00 – 2:30 pm

Free for ChessPalace members and students in advance class.
$35 per class or $75 for all three classes

June 16: Chess as a Science 

Discover the evolution of chess principles and stand upon the shoulder of giants. From the Classical to the Hypermodern eras in chess, learn about the contributions from Morphy, Steinitz, Tarrasch, Alekhine, Botvinnik, and Kasparov

June 23: Chess as a Business

Learn where to find efficiency in chess, establishing priorities, managing the clock, calculating positional advantages, and the valuation of chess pieces in various situations.

About Jack Peters:
Jack Peters is an US International Master. He currently teaches at University of Southern California (USC). He also had a weekly chess column on the Los Angeles Times, which ran from 1982 to 2010.
