We have some special chess events this week and next!
THIS WEEK
To participate in, there is the ChessPalace Grandmaster Simul Exhibition with GM Tsegmed Batchuluun on Sunday, June 16th at 1 pm at the chess club, and then to watch and follow, there is the Southern California Chess Federation’s (SCCF) historic SoCal State Championship which starts this Thursday, June 13th at 6 pm. The tournament will see Southern California’s top players compete for the $10,200 prize fund!
You can follow Southern California’s very own masters and their games as it happen at Lichess and Chess.com and be a part of this special event. The details of the SoCal State Championship and the masters who will be competing can be found on SCCF’s website.

Next Week
Grandmaster Melik Khachiyan returns to the chess club for a Grandmaster Lecture! We will also have a Rapid Tournament after if anyone would like to join. This special event will be on Sunday, June 23 at 10 pm.
