Chess is both an intellect building and mental exercise activity that helps develop habits of deep thinking and mental discipline that can be helpful in academics, in careers, and in life.

In addition to providing a space for players to practice and to compete, the chess club offers instruction for players from 6 years old to 95 years old to learn and to improve their chess skills. General group classes are offered for kids in quarterly sessions and private lessons are by appointment, while teenagers and adults are offered private coaching.

Teaching methods include lectures, practice games, and working through chess puzzles.

Our chess club also offers chess camps and one-time introductory class on how to move the pieces.
