February is packed with chess action at ChessPalace! Whether you’re looking for casual games, competitive tournaments, or a structured weekly series, there’s something for everyone. Here’s a full list of what’s happening so you don’t miss the opportunity to practice and play.

♜ Weekly & Ongoing Events

A. Open Play Nights – Relaxed, casual play—perfect for all levels. Walk-ins are welcome.

B. Wednesday Knights (February Series) – Games are rated with US Chess
A multi-round series for players looking for consistent competitive play. Rounds start at 7 pm every Wednesday.

C. Saturday Tournament – Rated games with US Chess; Cash Prizes

D. Amateur Tournament – Starter tournament for beginners with our without US Chess membership; Trophy or medal awards

E. Scholastic Tournament – Rated tournament for players in Kindergarten to 12th grade


♟️ Beginner Chess Class for Kids in K-6th grade – Now Taking Registration!

We’re excited to open registration for Beginner Chess starting this February! This class is perfect for children who are new to chess.

Students will learn fundamental rules, piece identification and movements, and good chess habits in a fun, supportive environment designed especially for young beginners.

📩 Spots are limited, so we encourage families to register early!

Please note: March’s Amateur Tournament and Scholastic Tournament will shift one weekend earlier, taking place on 3/1 and 3/15, respectively.
