Calling all moms and grandmothers of chess players. Join your child at this tournament and play for free! We will comp your entry fee in honor of Mother’s Day.
To register, send us an email at play@chesspalace.com with your name and a copy of your child’s paid entry to the tournament. That’s it, you’re ready to create a unique family memory and play in the same tournament as your child.
About the Amateur Tournament:
For beginners (Under 1400 ELO) looking to join a starter tournament, this event is an opportunity to experience and to practice with tournament rules, such as chess notation, and clock use in a casual setting.
Players can choose to play in the section for non-rated games or the section in which the games will be US Chess rated. Then the players are assigned opponents. Players will get to play 5 rounds.
Chess boards, pieces, and clocks will be available for use. If you have a chess clock, please bring it.

- Schedule: Onsite Registration please arrive between 11:30 and 11:45 am. For those who pre-registered through the link, please arrive between 11:45-11:55 am. Round 1 starts at 12 pm with the tournament ending around 5 pm.
