Grandmaster Lecture – Today, August 16 at 9:30 AM
Sharpen your game with insights from Grandmaster Tsegmed on the Ruy Lopez (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5). This lecture is available for $20, or $30 if you’d like to bundle it with entry into the Saturday Tournament. Club members and participants in the tournament enjoy complimentary access.

Saturday Tournament – Today, August 16 at 11:00 AM
Put your skills to the test in our US Chess–rated Saturday Tournament—perfect for both seasoned competitors and newcomers. On-site registration begins around 10:30 AM. Entry is $30 in advance or $40 same-day onsite.

35th Anniversary Tournament – Tomorrow, August 17 at 10:00 AM
Join us for a special celebration marking 35 years of ChessPalace with a US Chess–rated, 5-round tournament featuring a $1,000 prize fund, lunch, and door-prize giveaways. Registration is still open—but spots are limited, so hurry!
- On Site Registration: 9:00–9:15 AM
- First Round: 10:00 AM
- Time Control: Game in 30 minutes + 10-second increment
- Sections: Under 1400 & Open
- Entry Fee: $70 if paid by August 16; $90 after.
